How To Make Natural Laundry Detergent In Two Minutes

We are always spending money on things that we can create ourselves. There are tons of recipes and instructions that can help us save some money.

For instance, this laundry detergent won’t ask a lot of funds and it will clean your clothes like no other chemical out there.

Plus, you won’t be polluting the environment and you will be avoiding adding chemicals to your water system.

The good part about this homemade laundry detergent is that it can be dissolved in cold or hard water. You will only need three ingredients and you can adjust them as you want.

You can find them in any nearby store or you can simply order them online.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of washing soda
  • Cheese grater
  • Container
  • 1 bar Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap (you can use peppermint, lavender or citrus)
  • 2 cups borax

We prefer to use Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap because it is made of vegetable castile soap and other pure organic oils. Because of the ingredients, it has a nice scent especially the hemp citrus bar.

As for the Borax, many people are skeptic when it comes to this ingredient.

However, Borax is actually a natural mineral that contains oxygen, water, boron, and sodium. It is the best exchange for cleaners that are filled with chemicals.

As for the washing soda, it is simply made of limestone and common salt. It is a completely natural ingredient that will help you remove any stains off your clothes.

Some people also get skeptic because they don’t see any suds when using a homemade detergent.

However, it doesn’t mean that if you don’t see suds, your detergent is less powerful. Actually, it is a lot stronger than the detergents that we buy.

Instructions

The first step is to shred the soap bar with the cheese grater and add it to the container. Next, you need to add the washing soda and borax.

Close the lid of the container and shake it until everything is mixed thoroughly.

As you can see, this recipe is quite simple and it won’t take much of your time. You can use a ¼ cup of this homemade detergent for one set of laundry.
