How to Use Guava Leaves to Stop Hair Loss

Hair loss is a common problem that more and more people deal with. Whether it is based on genetics or poor nutrition, hair loss can affect one’s emotional and physical self-confidence.

However, not all is lost, including hair! Coming to your rescue are guava leaves, which have become one of the most popular ways to prevent hair loss.

Guava is among the most popular exotic fruits. Mexico-born, guava also grows in Central America. Due to its nutritional value, guava is considered among the best fruits to consume.

It is rich in many essential compounds, like vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, potassium, and lycopene. So, how does one use guava leaves to prevent hair loss?

Guava leaves offer many benefits to the hair, including prevention of scalp issues, a leading cause of hair fall.

Aside from the aforementioned, guava leaves also provide anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties.

So, here’s what you’ll need:

  • A bunch of guava leaves
  • 1l water
  • A strainer
  • A pot

First, add water to the pot, and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the guava leaves next. Allow the leaves to boil for approximately 20 minutes.

Turn off the heat and set the pot aside. Strain the leaves of all liquid. Allow the liquid to cool off before applying it.

Additional notes:

Keep the hygiene on point when you prepare the liquid. Feel free to apply shampoo first, but dry your hair before proceeding with the liquid.

Separate your hair into sections, and massage the liquid into the hair. Proceed to massage for 10 minutes. Make sure the tips and roots of your hair are especially soaked in the liquid.

Leave the treatment on for two hours or overnight, and rinse immediately after, using lukewarm water.

Repeat the treatment three times a week, especially if you have a severe hair loss. For shine and extra benefits, use liquid twice a week. Look at all that hair!
